This is another epic part of my blogged book Do What You Love, a 28-day method to be paid doing what you love, to be published soon. Read until the end, I particularly love these lines!
Day 18
Enroll
To get what you’ve never had you have to do things you’ve never done.
Today, it’s about living your dream, to put it simply: you really Do what you love.
Today is the day you engage on your designed lifestyle blueprint. Everything is already laid out for you, you only have to be willing to do it, maybe what you have never done before, come on out, play and stay hungry for your projects. Tip-toeing your exhilarating journey can even make you do giant progresses.
You run your dream show. Your place of fantasy becomes reality. Prepare to be flying.
I WANT YOU to enroll
Step right in your designed blueprint and yield results. If it doesn’t go the way you want your path to go, redirect it, change course to the direction you want.
You want to engage. You will have to take on the challenges now. Act on your blueprint and start the first step you have on it.
Then do your whole blueprint as you’ve scheduled it.
The key from now on is to follow your blueprint to live your dream. It’s really that simple! And it’s really fun too.
Observe the effects on yourself. You should be having bursts of energy. If not, tweak your blueprint so it gives you joy goosebumps again.
Love the progress so far and live your bliss.
How to tip-toe to your dream career acts with trials and tests
Evaluate on the spot if your blueprint holds properly. You have assessed its risks and concluded it is fine so far, as a virtual reality. Now, you will have the direct knowledge with enrolling if it is really working.
Each time you do a new step, a new activity, evaluate it as soon as you can and rate it for its success. Is it really bringing you closer to your dream?
If so, rejoice! Your dream is taking form in reality. You do what you love… I repeat, you really do what you love!
If not, tweak it so it does. Here are the questions you can ask yourself:
- What isn’t working?
- Who could help you?
- When would it be more appropriate to try another step?
- What is the reason behind your problem, why isn’t it working?
- How could you do it better?
- Where could you be more productive?
What is the best way for enrolling in your dream career?
For those who want to start their company, you might go right away to your local job center if you haven’t done it already. Find what kind of support they can give you as you follow your blueprint.
If you want to be an employee or a boss in a company, spot the first one you would love to work for if you haven’t already done so.
You have to order your efforts so you have the maximum chances of success with your preferred places to work.
Believe you can have a job there. Imagine that this is your place to be in the universe. Visualize yourself working there.
Don’t forget to make your homework about the chosen company before you bring them directly your C.V., the best way to find a job there, or call them.
Engage with the employer, if you’re able to talk to him right away, on a common subject of interest. If you learned he loves sports and you do too, start with “You and I have this in common…”. Be professional in your manners and tone. Show him what kind of work you can do for their company.
And ask for a meeting, about 10 minutes (and don’t ever surpass a fixed deadline to show you’re professional) because you would love to have more information on their company. This is not an interview but it could lead you to having one about a dream job later on.
How to build your career acts effectively
Leverage your efforts with passion and intelligence so you arrive to your dream career act faster.
Make sure as you go along that your career acts lead you to the one you have in mind when you dream BIG.
In my life, I wanted to have at least a book written and help people do what they love. In an effort to also be paid, I would put it off for some time in the future and work on what I thought would be more lucrative projects.
When I engaged to do what I really dearly love, write this book, everything seems to fade in comparison. And doors open, leading to have capital for it anyway.
I am living the dream more than ever. Yes, everything I was doing before was leading me there in a way. But I had to take up the challenge, my blueprint and just do it.
I feel that I’m at the right place at the right time. I have no words to describe the intensity of how doing what you love, finally, makes you thrive.
Just do it. You’ll see. Believe me, it’s worth it! And come talk about your experience on our blog success stories or comments.
Building your blog, website and social community, one pillar at a time
Prioritize again what is most urgent to be done in your website and social community on the side of your job-hunting or job-creating. Collect knowledge and build it.
Devise one pillar at a time so you lay a solid foundation first. A small professional website is better than a big weak one. Put you main pages as you have created your blueprint. Have a vision, state a mission, put your principal overarching themes as your pages and each article you’ll create will bring more knowledge to your website.
Aim to expand them daily. Put it in your schedule to spend some time to tweak your website so you be more and more a resource in your field and gather more people on it, who will subscribe to your social media.
You are now a resource in a niche you love. Note if you enjoy working online by the way and if it’s something you want to excel at, or if you prefer working directly on the field, to know which path is right for you to put most efforts on.
Using spare time to have fun, improve and do things you should have done
List on your spare time what you should have done so far. Find out what you can add to your blueprint. In the same current of ideas, take away what is not needed after further reflections and trials. On the weekend, make sure what you will do next week is well detailed so when you work on weekdays it flows.
You can also use your spare time to improve in your domain and niche. Pick a best book on the topic and read it. Talk with people that love them also.
Another important thing is to enjoy your free time. Do something else you love. You might find inspiration in the farthest places. It also replenishes you with energy to be ready to continue your journey. When I have not rested enough, I have less energy on the first day of work. But when I have, I’m eager to begin – I love Mondays! You want to have maximum rest and fun on the weekend to love Mondays too, to have a dream life and balance rightly your efforts and your resting. Make sure to not over abuse of activities, food or alcohol, which could affect your resting.
Do you have the right attitude for the ride of your life?
Be upbeat about your do-what-you-love project, have the right attitude from the start. Being positive and thinking there is a reason for where you are, even if you don’t understand it, will attract it in your life.
For some reasons, this rule is true. You attract what you are like. Have you found out that when bad lucks arrive, they arrive all together? The opposite is true too. If you’re positive, you attract and love to hang with positive people. If you think success and helping people, you will look out for those opportunities and most of the time find them.
The ride of your life also means that you have to take the wheel and participate in the events. You’re not the passenger (anymore?). You are taking responsibility and making your way for success. This is breathtaking and it feels great, doesn’t it?
Think about winning, in the sense of making it to your destination. There isn’t another way for you, it’s part of you, and you feel compelled to that direction so stay motivated to get there.
Hey, you’re living the dream, by the way!
Exult now. Take a few moments to evaluate this crossroad in your life and share it with others:
This now is special.
You are connected to who you are and what you want to do.
You act to do it.
You do good.
You radiate with energy and love.
Your passion is contagious.
You live your own big dreams.
You inspire other people to do so.
You help people.
You are at your true place.
You make a change in your world.
You make a change in their world.
You change the world for the better.
You are the change you wish to see in the world.
You are love.
You are blissful, the happiest you can be.
Now, take a mental picture of this moment.
Transport it with you always from now on and imprint it in your subconscious as the way you want to be feeling for the rest of your life.
