Be What You Love and Choose Your Life For Yourself

According to mainstream science, old texts and after intensive researchs, I conclude that you can on your own be happy and choose your life for yourself more than you might think.

In fact, we are more than what we think, more than our age, our gender, our nationality… We really are in fact spiritual beings living a human experience. It is in our best interest to get the most of this experience, even though there is often opposing forces in our society when we act accordingly.

 

Here are some tips so you can be who you really are, be happy, and do what you crave for :

 

1) Just Choose to Be Happy Here and Now

This moment is all we have, there is no real access to the past nor the future, our life would be a continuing “now”. We must realize this and just be here. We have to choose to be free, aware, happy and positive because all is a choice, even the one of being unhappy. Incidentally, forgive yourself and others so you can start anew, be loving in the present.

What works for me when I’m having difficulties with this is to say:

- “Ok, you’re here, what can you do to feel good, what tempts you now?”
Take a bath, do something new, etc. …

- “That is what it is, so what? Is it that bad? What do you realize with that?”

That allows you to relativize, to learn, to see your reactions.

2) Choose to Love and Do What You Love For Yourself 

- Love … our existence goes by that. And the love we give usually comes back to us helping us to be happy.

- Love oneself… Take care of yourself, your body, mind and soul. Listen to yourself. These are your vehicles, so give them the best you can and and they’ll return it to you. Also, staying positive is better to lift the energy of everyone. You don’t have to give up relationships with people that aren’t positives, but you haven’t to be entangled in their moods. Keeping a positive energy acts as a shield. Sometimes like others who stay upbeat, I just want to laugh with people who loves the drama in their lives… because it can happen that what we think is so important isn’t really when we observe them from afar and just stay present. You can say to them, “I know what you’re going through, I’ve been there but I’m not anymore, here is what you can do to get out of there”…

We are doing ourself a service to choose our life this way because we are more likely to see and attract positives things and be happy.

- Do what you love, choose to do it from now on. For those who do not quite know what to do or what they love yet, because it can happen sometimes that you doubt yourself or maybe can’t discern whether it is you who love it, someone else or the society that wants it, you can make a list of everything that makes you happy, like singing in the shower, smell a flower or give it all in a punching bag. Then you have to decide to spend as much time as possible to do so and rearrange your life around it. It also helps to make a list of what we don’t love to flush it out of your life or not care for it anymore.

You must not rely on others or label yourself, such as ”hey I’m 50 year old I can not do that, what will the neighbors think, and what will happen in my future”? You got the drive to do your dream? Do it for you, you deserve it. As long as it remains consistent with your consciousness and your heart… I came to think that when we don’t do what we love , we’re killing ourselves slowly.

For those who are afraid to drop everything at once, go slowly, with small steps. It becomes addictive and then you can’t go back to your old ways… It certainly was the case for me! If you want to accomplish your dream, follow your intuition. But again, if you’re afraid of the outcome, use all available resources:
- people around you who undoubtedly have ideas to do it or can help;
- possible funding;
- personal reprogramming (why not use self-hypnosis or neurolinguistic reprogramming, choosing your way of thinking);
- the information in books and the Internet (chat rooms with people having similar lives).

Note :

Sometimes it’s the people around us who hold us from doing what we really love. In this case you must tell yourself, and them, that if they really love you they have to let you do what you love. If it’s just a form of control from their part, in this case, I would put them aside a little bit if you can, before being ready to be with them afterwards if possible. If it is because of fear on their part, explain clearly that this is what you need and that it’s better to do what you love than to live an unhappy life. Then you choose your life, be happy and love what you do no matter what.

Finally, if you don’t love something anymore, and it really comes from you, stop doing it! It is not always required to complete all of what you started… For example, if someone criticizes me for that I say it was fun, I liked it, but not anymore, I want to do something else! You don’t have to keep something you don’t love in your life.

 

3) Use Your “Powers” and Be Happy

I saw somewhere: “The forest would be very sad if it only the best singing birds would sing”. There may be a reason why you are good at some things, you could find that different skills are combining for one or more projects. If it’s just to lift your confidence up, it’s already something! No need to be excellent, just doing your best can make you proud and happy. I love to give myself the personal challenge to do my best or have the best efficiency in what I do, it’s like a game, it amuses me. We must be compassionate toward us too and give us the chance to do what we love even though we are not perfect.

Also, we have to try new things because we can find new skills and love something that we didn’t even know we would love. What have you always wanted to do? Or in other words : if you were dying today, what would you regret not having done?

I tell myself at times that I want to be able to defend myself if my children or my family tell me one day: What did you do for everything, you, problems, the others, etc? Well, I did that and this and that, in any case, I choose my life and did my best to be happy and help others do so.

At one point, one wonders, is this true, or is this just a ride? And few people remember and say, no it’s just a ride, please, do not be afraid. There’s just a choice, Love or Fear, and the path of love is to change the world now for a better ride in peace.
